At some point, for many Black women, the old hustle stops fitting. I know this point. I’ve been there. We did what we had to: cared for family, worked, provided care, grieved, and met expectations. We carried the mental load because that’s what we were taught: Be strong. Figure it out. Care for everyone. Keep going. Then midlife shows up, and suddenly the old hustle just doesn’t work anymore.
